In 2001 the last cinema  in the Southside of Glasgow closed its doors. Ten years later, in 2011, Southside Film was launched to bring film back to the area. Southside Film now screens films and hosts film events year round across numerous venues.  Wherever we can put up a screen, we will! We run screenings throughout the year- check out what we have screened recently here

The 2017 film festival will run from 2-4 June and you can see the print programme here and the daily programme here Watch the trailer here

If you would like to volunteer with us during the film festival get in touch! More info on volunteering here

We are also asking people to send us their memories of the trams in Glasgow for a special screening and event Last Day of the Trams at Tramway on Saturday 3 June. More info here or email us on southsidefilm@gmail.com if you remember the trams in Glasgow!

This year’s film festival is  supported by Glasgow City Council and funded by the ScotRail Foundation managed by Foundation Scotland.
